Maintenance Service
Although we do not want your RANCEAS watch to need major maintenance, we have an advanced maintenance center composed of qualified professional technicians to serve customers at any time. These watchmakers have received comprehensive training in the repair, maintenance and repair of the full range of RANCEAS watches. At the same time, they will receive regular training to further improve their watch repair skills and ensure that customers are provided with home-made services.
Attention
1. RANCEAS meter shall inform the customer of the estimated cost and repair time before each maintenance business, and start the maintenance after receiving the customer's confirmation;
2. All replaced parts will not be returned to customers;
3. Customers can't cancel the maintenance started by the company. If the maintenance of RANCEAS meter has been accepted but not started, the management fee of RMB 50 will be charged;
4. Customers need to pay the maintenance fee before they can get the finished watch;
Warranty
1. Switzerland Watches S.A. grants you, with effect from the purchase date, a three (3) year warranty on the RANCEAS watches purchased from January 1, 2023, under the terms set out in this warranty.
2. The following items are not included in the scope of repair:
Natural loss of watch appearance parts (case, mirror, handle, strap) of watch;
Damage caused by improper use;
Open the back cover arbitrarily;
Magnetic field: avoid placing your wristwatch over a loudspeaker or refrigerator because they have a strong magnetic field
Impact: avoid high temperature or other impacts
Screw in crown: tighten the crown carefully. Waterproof penetration into the interior of the watch
Cleaning: use a clean toothbrush and soapy water to clean the metal watch chain and all waterproof cases, and dry them with a soft cloth
Chemicals: avoid direct contact with watches, solvents, detergents, perfumes, and cosmetics, because they will corrode watch chains, watchcase, and washers.
Temperature: avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (above 60 C or 140 F, below 0 C or 32 f) or extreme temperature differences
Waterproof: the waterproof function of a watch cannot be guaranteed to be permanent. This may be affected by the aging of the waterproof rubber ring, or by hitting the crown, button, sapphire, and other waterproof components. As specified in the repair instructions, we recommend that you send your watch to a Swiss RANCEAS approved service center every year to check its waterproof function.
Timing button: do not operate the timing button in water to prevent water from entering the watch.
Power storage (automatic): the movement will be automatically linked with the wrist swing of the wearer. As the wrist swing of the wearer will directly affect the operation of the automatic chain up mechanical system (rotors), the wearer of 10-12 hours will help to generate sufficient power storage to ensure the normal operation of the watch at night. Therefore, the watch should be worn for 10 to 12 hours per day (normal daily activities) and should be worn for several days. If the watch is not worn for a long time (not long enough or wrist movement is not enough) or is not worn regularly (not worn every day), the power storage will change back to constant consumption, and it is necessary to manually chain up the watch. It is necessary to rotate the crown 15 to 20 times manually to generate enough power storage to ensure the accuracy of the hour meter. This simple procedure is also required for every new mechanical wrist watch. It is also applicable to watches that are not in regular / daily operation or wearing. Please note that a common misunderstanding is that as long as the automatic watch is shaken, enough kinetic energy can be generated to keep the watch accurate timing. However, this step is not enough to chain the main spring, and it is difficult to generate power storage. Finally, the watch will stop working or unable to accurately display the time.
